2009-12-07: UK e-Science All Hands Meeting 2009, 7-9 December 2009, Oxford, UK

UK e-Science All Hands Meeting 2009.

The All-Hands Meeting has become the annual event where computational scientists and technologists can come together to share, discuss and advance the exciting research that has grown out of the e-Science Programme.

This year's meeting sees several changes -in particular the date. Traditionally a September event, we have moved the AHM to December (Monday 7 December - Wednesday 9 December 2009) to coexist with the IEEE e-Science meeting, giving us the opportunity to bring the UK community together with the international leaders in e-Science.

A further exciting element of AHM 2009 is that it will be the central venue for the RCUK Review on e-Science. This provides the opportunity for us to showcase the activities of the e-Science programme and the community it has created, so please attend and help us do just that!

It is important that the AHM reflects the interests and research of the whole community and welcome any contribution across this broad cross-section of activities. In order to provide some structure to the meeting we would like to introduce a number of themes and ask that you submit your papers to one of the following:

  1. Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities
  2. Medical and Biological Sciences
  3. Physical and Engineering Sciences
  4. Environmental and Earth Sciences
  5. Sharing and Collaboration
  6. Distributed and High Performance Computing Technologies
  7. Data and Information Management
  8. User Engagement
  9. Foundations of e-Science

Full details of the AHM conference, and instructions on how to submit an abstract, may be found at www.allhands.org.uk.
