Welcome to OMII-UK
OMII-UK provided and supported free, open-source software for the UK e-Research community. The project came to an end in December 2010.
We recommend that anyone interested in research software should visit the
OMII-UK helped new users to get started with e-Research, and provided software and support. The project also improved the provision of e-Research software by commissioning developers to create software to meet the needs of the research community.
OMII-UK's involvement in various projects, committees and standards groups helped direct the development of e-Research.

OMII-UK is funded by EPSRC through the UK e-Science Core programme. It is a collaboration between the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton, the OGSA-DAI project at the National e-Science Centre and EPCC, and the myGrid project at the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester.
